(More customer reviews)This game is probably the best stategy oriented game I have ever played. Its very detailed in the types of troops, their weapons, how different terrain effects battle. Although it's a 2D game, that doesn't really detract from its appeal. What I found problems with was the fact that its only the battles. It does have a "Campaign" mode where you play out the entire war, but even that doesn't have anything other than the actual fighting. No logistical planning, no troop movement on a huge map of the United States. The only thing that's outside of the battles is arming your soldiers with different guns. I personnaly like to decide where I'm going to fight and invade and what I'll build etc. I have a Civil War game that's over a decade old but I still enjoy playing it because it has those qualities. Overall Civil War 2 is, I think, a good game and I recomend it to people who just want to fight the battle, but not to people who want to decide the course of the war.
