I saw "Left Behind" a few years ago, and while the movie obviously did not have the benefit of a large budget like so many Hollywood movies, the cast was good and the message was clear. It's a very powerful movie, and one that I have heard so many people rave about. Obviously, people liked it, and bought it, because you can tell with each movie in the series that their budget is bigger. After I saw the second movie in the set, I thought it was my favorite - until I saw the third. They each just leave you wanting to see more - just like they should. Definitely try it out.

Malena (2000) Review

This version was cut down to 92 minutes for North American audiences, both to make it more acceptable to short attention spans and to eliminate some of the scenes that included nudity. For those of us who are capable of sitting still for 106 minutes and who are not horrified by the nude body employed in the presentation of a film such as this one, this is nothing less than insulting. Serious viewers of film should be able to see films as the director intended them to be seen, and should not settle for this sort of censorship.

Star Wars Galaxies: Starter Kit Review

(More customer reviews)DONT BUY THIS GAME. You will absolutely regret it after the "honeymoon" phase of the game is over (probbly 1 week).
This game is completely bug-riddled to a point where its hardly playable. The developers have been aware of most of these bugs and only fix them months after they appear, if at all. These are major bugs which could be noticeable with 5 minutes of testing, however SOE and LucasArts dont seem to have ANY QA department.
Every patch introduces new MAJOR, GAMEBREAKING BUGS and impliments changes that are the REVERSE of what SWG players want. Today's patch, for instance, made jedi completely unplayable as it broke all their ranged attacks.
In addition, rather than adding to the game, SOE consistantly takes away from it. And they don't put back in what they take away. For instance, Battlefields, a Force Rank System for jedi, Bounty Hunter Player Missions, Faction Bases, a Force Sensitive Village, and more are all examples of things they have spent months developing and then just decided to remove them. Not a good value at all for the customer, as they are paying $15 a month for that wasted development time.
EVERY PATCH NERFS SOMETHING. Players are quitting left and right because all of their equipment keeps getting destroyed by patches, and SOE doesnt care. For instance, you could spend months and months and millions of credits on Skill Enhancers, Armor, Weapons, and other equipment, and then SOE will introduce new changes that disable you from wearing that equipment or break the effect they have. This has happened OVER AND OVER AGAIN and will continue to happen.
THE XP GRIND IS SLOW AND TEDIOUS AND YOU WILL ONLY BE ABLE TO SELECT ONE PROFESSION FOR YOUR ENTIRE SWG CAREER. The game used to have 32 unique professions and you could pick whatever skills you wanted. Now you can only choose from 1 and if you dont like it, too bad. You're stuck with it. This is especially bad because SOE ROUTINELY UNBALANCES PROFESSIONS and doesnt fix them. Right now Medic can beat any other profession easily, and SOE could care less. They really don't attempt to balance the game at all.
The servers are EXTEMELY LAGGY for MMORPG servers. If you choose to go jedi, you will only be able to hit mobs and opponents who stand still. If they run away from you, then you will actually have to RUN AHEAD OF THEM to compensate for lag and hit them. Try doing that in Player vs Player; thats why jedi can't beat any other profession and is by far the weakest choice. Although 90% of the server are jedi. Real starwarsy, huh?
Finally, and by far the biggest gripe players have, is that the DEV team doesn't listen to players input whatsoever. Reported bugs are not fixed, and suggestions are not acted upon. The developers make the game how they see it and could care less about player feedback. They will introduce new, gamebreaking changes a few days before they go LIVE and not even inform the community in advance. Exploits are not responded to. And rather than add to the game and to the profession, they simply remove things from the game and nerf professions. For instance, originally to get jedi a player had to grind for up to a year, but when she finished, it was worth the effort. Then, the devs nerfed jedi to a point where they were absolutely useless but let everyone be jedi. Real fair to those people who worked hard for a year, right?
To summarize, STAY AWAY. This game is infested with BUGS that dont get fixed, LAGGY servers, incompetant developers, and horrible gameplay. Once the "newness" of the game wears off, you will wonder why you ever wasted your money on this trash.

Star Wars the Clone Wars: Republic Heroes Review

(More customer reviews)I just wanted to add this review for any mom's of young Star Wars/Clone Wars fans. My 6 year old son LOVES anything to do with Star Wars. We got a WII for Christmas and started with the Lego Star Wars game. He loved that and I would highly recommend that. Unfortunately, he kept seeing commercials for other games that looked more like his favorite show, Clone Wars, and he wanted us to buy this one. We finally got it for him but I was very nervous because of the Teen rating. My 6 year old is our oldest and I am not wanting to get into all kinds of violence, gore, or inappropriate attitudes. Before buying it I was never able to find a review that spoke to content and that is why I am posting this.
This game does not show ANY blood or gore. When the droids are destroyed they just fall apart or short out and the guys/people grunt and fall over. We were o.k. with that. I am a big fan of this game because the it is very close to the Clone Wars series on TV and he really enjoys how he gets to use the remote. He can use it like a lightsaber (if he is a jedi) or gun (if he is playing as a clone trooper). He especially likes being able to swish his lightsaber with the flick of his hand rather than pushing a button like on Lego Star Wars. He also loves being able to switch between his favorite "good guys". So far there has not been anything that I felt was inappropriate for him. Either language, attitude, or excessive violence. It has more difficulty in problem solving but you can select a "padawan" or "master" mode to play in (padawan=easy or master=more difficult). A bonus for mom's in the game is there's virtually no consequences to dying so that lowers the frustration level for a young player. Also, Yoda will talk periodically through the levels giving direction on what the player should do. That was great for my son who is just learning to read. All in all, if you are o.k. with the Clone Wars shows on TV, this game is very much in line with it and your little guy (or girl) should enjoy it.
I WILL update this review if I find the content of the game changes as he moves through the levels. But for the first few levels, I have been very happy.
