(More customer reviews)This game is great: easy to pick up and learn; fun game control; good gameplay; solid graphics; just enough story line to add some depth to the gameplay; overall, an excellent game. Although the graphics are not exceptional (honestly, they could use a little work), I have to admit that this is a super-fun game to play that mixes just the right amount of challenge and reward to keep you hooked on "defending the galaxy...". This is a keeper, and definitely a better alternative to other vehicular combat games ... Get this game, you won't be sorry.

The force is truly with Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter. Thisfirst-person space shooter will appeal to fans of the genre, and will especiallyexcite any Star Wars buffs: there's a lot of material in this game thatcovers the period between Episode I and Episode II.
The time prior to the events of Star Wars: Episode II is a chaotic one.Pressure between the Republic and Count Dooku is building, and the Count has aplan that will give him the upper hand. He's made a deal with Captain Toth ofthe Trade Federation, who intends to take over the resource-abundant Karthakksystem. He has met almost no resistance, except for the alien smuggler Nym.
Aware that the Karthakk system must not fall into Dooku's hands, Mace Windudispatches his former student Adi Gallia (now a Jedi Master) to the system in anexperimental force-powered starfighter. She joins forces with Nym, and togetherthey just might have a chance at stopping Captain Toth.
Jedi Starfighter has 15 story-driven levels and an in-depth tutorial. Inall, the game provides over 20 missions, mostly protecting or escorting targetsand blowing up droids and other minions of the future Empire. The action takesplace in space, as well as in the sky over various planets. You can play aseither Adi or Nym, and you can also play the entire game in two-player split-screen cooperative mode. The Xbox version has an exclusive head-to-head scenariocalled Coruscant Territory Capture--think Star Wars meets Capture theFlag.

Star Wars Obi-Wan Review

(More customer reviews)I highly recommend this title, 4 stars cause well, there aren't many games that deserve 5 yet.. HALO maybe.
Hearing some of the other reviews on this site, I hesitated to purchase Obi-Wan, as I bought some other underwhelming Xbox games (Air Force Delta Storm, Fusion Friendly), and I didn't want to waste another $50 just cause I'm curious. Obi-Wan is FUN - I played it for 10 hours straight when I brought it home, which was tonight.
Graphics: really good, not amazing, but very tight.
Gameplay: Awesome. Swinging the lightsaber, force pulls (weapons), spins and flips - jeeze, it just feels cool to be obi-wan. The moves are somewhat simple, but perfecting the use of them takes hours of work, and I still feel as if I'm young Obi-Wan, in training.
Sound: Music is great, sound makes you think you're a jedi.

Cons: They didn't use the controller vibration all that much, and the levels take a while to load. The game hangs here and there, for no apparent reason, like when you turn off your lightsaber.
Should you buy it? If you liked Halo, or Star Wars, or adventure/action games you'll probably like this game. Buy Halo first though :)

Star Wars Clone Wars Review

(More customer reviews)I acquired this game free with the purchase of a new Xbox to replace one that died on me. I wasn't expecting much due to some pretty negative reviews trashing the repetitive gameplay and ho-hum graphics. So I was surprised when I popped it in and after playing for a little bit discovered I was actually having a lot of fun.
The game mainly involves piloting various modes of transport -- a hover tank, an aerial gunship, a speeder, even a two-legged beast of some sort -- and blasting any enemies that get in your way. It is fast-paced but satisfying to watch your targeting reticle bob around the screen before locking on to a soon-to-be doomed enemy and dispatching them will a volley of laser fire or perhaps a well-placed missile. There area also times when you will play a Jedi (Mace, Annakin, etc) on the ground. While these bits got slagged off by some gaming press, I found them to be pretty enjoyable. Your repertoire of tricks include throwing the light saber like a boomerang to take out far-away foes, doing acrobatic flips and jumps to avoid enemy fire, and taking out whole groups of evil goons with a blast of the Force from your outstretched hand.
The graphics are not eyepoppingly stunning, but they are solid and definitely convey the feeling of being in the Star Wars world. In the scenes where you fly the Jedi gunship, you can see scores of soldiers and droids blasting it below you, giving you the sense that you are part of a larger battle. I'm not a die-hard SW fan, but I did grow up on the movies and find the game does a decent job of filling in some of the events following the end of the "Attack of the Clones" movie.
Initially I was going to give this game four stars, but I gave games like "Halo" and "Project Gotham Racing" four stars, and this game, while fun, honestly isn't on the same level as those heavyweights. So it only gets three stars, but don't let that stop you from just having a good time in the Clone Wars.
