I was able to get all the Zelda games he does not have, along with the special gameboy with the Gold Crest (even though he has the DS lite) therefore this was the perfect addition for any age group that has the DS lite games, loves Zelda, and needs cases for their games.

PSP Travel Case Review

(More customer reviews)I bought both the Logitech and the Sony polycarbonate cases. While I like the idea of the added polycarbonate screen protector (which was nicely designed to rest just above the PSP screen so not to directly touch it), the holders for 2 UMDs and 2 Memory Sticks, and the strategically placed rubber bumpers, I have to say that in my opinion, the Logitech case wins out by a nose.
The Sony case does hold the PSP tighter, and with the screen protector in place, it will not allow the PSP to fall out. This could be a major deciding factor for some folks. However, my issue with the screen protector is that it is way too difficult to disengage from covering the PSP (basically you are supposed to push in the latch, but the case is so "form fitting" that there is no extra room for the PSP to move so as to let the latch unhook). This makes it much more of a pain to change out UMDs because neither case will let you do that without removing the PSP from the case.
The other issue I have noted with the Sony case that does not occur with the Logitech case is that the opening for the headphone jack on the Sony case is located just slightly off from where it needs to be (it is too high). This has the unfortunate effect of forcing you to raise the PSP in the case slightly, which for me puts the PSP screen in contact with the polycarbonate screen protector (a scratch just waiting to happen). It is possible that my case is slightly defective, and that others have not had this problem, but since I did, it has to be part of my review.
So all in all, I think the Sony PSP Travel Case is definitely worthy, and if you won't be changing UMDs frequently, I think it is very comparable to the Logitech case. However, the difficulty in disengaging the screen protector and the issue with the headphone jack opening makes the Sony case my second choice for my PSP.

(More customer reviews)Although i never really trust the case that doesn't cover the whole ds, this cover is great for what it is for. I just love the material, it looks fancy in a way, or maybe because i always like the way the matte look.
Overall, it does what it needs to do, and for my dsi, and matches very pretty with the quality of the material. However, i do still put another case on top when i put it in a bag or when i store it somewhere else. The part that is not covered still might get scratched. If you want to use it as a protection from your hand (like getting darker or oily and such), this case is perfect, but not as storage for ur dsi, at least that's what i think. =)

Nintendo DS G-pak Organizer Black Review

(More customer reviews)I was really excited to get this product once I found out how many games it holds. I have no idea why it's so difficult to find a case that holds more than a few DS games, especially given their small size, but it is. This case will hold 30 DS games and a bunch of GBA games. There isn't room for much else inside--just 2 dividers and space for maybe your DS, its charger, and maybe headphones or a car charger--but it does have a zipper pocket on the outside that will hold some smaller stuff (maybe a couple more games, a stylus or two, screen protectors, etc).
The problem I had with this product is that the games were difficult, for me at least, to get in and out of the mesh slots. It's a pretty tight fit, and I was only able to get 4 games per row (each row should hold 5) without forcing the 5th one more than I was comfortable with. Since the slots won't hold games in cases the contacts are left exposed, which concerns me given the difficulty in getting the games in their slots in the first place. I also noticed that it was pretty tough to get games out of the 2nd or 3rd rows when the 1st row was fully loaded. The mesh, which is black, and the elastic also partially block the title on most games, so its tough to see which game is where unless you actually pull them partly out or only put them in about 3/4 of the way when you're loading them.
These issues won't be a problem for some people, and are certainly better than the alternative of just leaving the games lying around or cramming them into the nooks and crannies of other DS cases. For me, however, the pain in getting games in and out was enough to dampen my enthusiasm for having more game storage, and I'll be returning this product and buying more plastic cases instead. If the ability to store a ton of games is your absolute top priority and you're willing to tolerate the inconvenience of inserting and removing them this case may be for you--but personally I'll keep looking for a better solution.

We bought this Orange Skin for my sons new DSi and only for $9.99 (on Amazon). Imagine my surprise when the mailman asked for my signature because it came register mail from 'Hong Kong' (or 'China', as my mailman stated)...
It's a nice light orange color (the color of a cream sickle) that will compliment the blue of the DSi we bought (my sons favorite two colors). Fits well and is perfect...I'd recommend to anyone looking for a unique color for a boy or girl...

DSi/DS Lite Universal Transporter Carrying Case Review

(More customer reviews)Got this bag for my kids 2 DSi's. It will fit both, along with 20 games, but it is not very roomy. If you have a silicone cover on the DSi, it does not slip in & out of the bag very easily as the bag is felt lined and the compartment for the DSi is fairly snug. You deffinitely couldn't fit a DS in here with the Nerf Armor case on it. While I complain it is not very roomy, it is not meant to tote around 2 DSi's and the accessories that go along with both of them. If you wanted to use this for just 1 DS & accessories, it would be perfect because everything that goes along with it isn't very large anyways.
It has an adjustable strap that can fit a child nicely, yet adjust to fit mom & dad too. The strap attaches with a spinning hook, which I find great because it doesn't get all twisted. You can even remove the strap and use the handle on top of the bag if you wanted to. Lots of room for extra stylus (slides into an elastic strap to hold in place). Overall, a great little bag that doesn't take up too much room and keeps the DSi's safe when not being played...I wouldn't worry about the DS too much if they were inside and the bag was dropped.
******UPDATE******
I actually can fit my sons DSi in the bag when it has the Nerf Armor foam case on it. It is very snug, but it does fit!! I have 2 kids, which means 2 DSi's...so I'm ordering another Nerf case and I think this bag will hold both of them with the cases on. I'll update then and also add a picture showing them both in there.
****** 2nd UPDATE ******
Well, we have had this bag for almost 8 months and it is still the perfect bag for my kids 2 DSi's. I never got around to ordering another Nerf Armor case as I stated above, but I don't doubt it would fit both of them if needed to. With the DSi's in it, this bag has been dropped, had drinks spilled on it, been in the middle of tug-o-war matches, and still looks fairly new. I only wish it could hold more games as time goes on and their game collection grows.
****** 3rd UPDATE ******
About a year later, our DS family has grown to now include a DSi XL. This bag WILL fit the XL, could even fit 2 XL's snugly beside eachother. The newest additon, the XL, is mine (yes, parents have toys too!)...I still keep my kids in the pockets and just stick mine in the front of the pockets. It floats around loosely, but everything is felt lined so it is perfectly safe. So the ultimate DS bag has just become the super ultimate bag that can transport 2 DSi's AND a DSi XL safely!! Yay!

Wii Nerf Sports Resort Sword Duel Play Review

(More customer reviews)I bought these with Wii Sports Resort, specifically for the new sword-fighting games, as I expect many will. They do claim right on the packaging, after all, "Works great with Wii Sports Resort."
The problem is, the sword-fighting games (every variant), require you to calibrate the orientation of the remote by pointing it at the center of the screen and hitting 'A' before the game begins. This requires that the remote sensor on the end of the remote be unhindered. The Nerf blade, of course, covers this sensor. It's true, the blade can be removed relatively easily from the 'hilt' portion of the device, which remains around the remote. Still, you have to start the game up without the blade, then pause so you don't get clobbered while you attach the blade, and then get to actually playing the game.
Other than that, I'd say the things are well-crafted and I have no issues with the materials or quality. But for a device that really adds nothing but 'look and feel' to the game, the whole process of detaching and re-attaching the blade each time you start a new match pretty much kills the added immersion.
I really wanted to love these and was looking forward to lots of sword-swinging fun. Playing detach-and-attach the blade all day sucks out any joy from using them though, and in the end I can only say it's a great disappointment. I can't find any way to justify spending almost half the purchase cost of the game itself on these at all. Thus the low final rating.
(Note: Disabling the option for sensor bar assist in the settings seems to have no affect on the sword game calibration sequence that I can find -- it still requires the sensor calibration at the start of each match. If anyone finds a better way to actually use these things with Wii Sports Resort, I'd be most interested and would be inclined to give them a better rating.)

DS Lite Dura-Case Review

(More customer reviews)I had been hunting around all the local stores for about a month looking for my idea of a great with no luck. A friend on line sent me a link to this case and told me this is the one! It was a lot cheaper then any of the cases I had seen. I normally like to physically see things like this before buying but it sounded so good with a great price I thought what the heck and bought it. This is an amazing case! It holds everything (DS. SIX GAMES AND EVEN THAT EXTRA STYLUS) nice and snug with wonderful synthetic rubber called polychloroprene AKA neoprene. The case, when closed, looks just like a closed DS. It has a latch that keeps it very securely closed and is opened with a press of the recessed button (this type of button also guards against accidental openings). I also found out the hard way that this case is very tough. The case with four games and the DS took a trip down an almost full flight of concrete stairs. Of course the case had some new battle scars but it never popped open and the more important stuff inside had no damage what so ever. So this case without a dought in my mind is very well made! Oh yeah, it also comes with a limited lifetime warranty against defects. So in closing, I would definitely recommend this product to everyone who is looking for product with these types of features... and probably everyone else also :) Hope this helps someone.

Playstation 2 Star Wars Jedi Hunter Controller Review

(More customer reviews)I'm giving this a high rating because of the great price I paid relative to the product I got, but when you put your money down, don't expect to get the product listed above shipped to you.
I was expecting to get a controller that would let me "win saber locks with lightsaber button" and have wireless "Auto-connect technology allows up to 16 players to play without interference [...] play up to 30 feet from console" as advertised above.
Instead I got a wired controller with the same cable length as the default. The rumble feedback is stronger than default controllers, and the internal lighting is a nice touch, but it isn't wireless at all and I can't find the saber button mentioned.
Hopefully the turbo and programming functions will work as described in the manual...I'll have to try those next.

Wii Twin Star Sabers Review

(More customer reviews)I got these as a birthday present and was extremely excited to use them with my children playing Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels and Star Wars: the Force Unleashed. Who wouldn't be? They power on by lighting up the "lightsaber" and make the powering on noise from the films. When you swing them they occasionally make the swishing sounds from the movies. I love the idea of being able to play the sword fighting games with light sabers!
Unfortunately, the calibration is off. You have to take the controllers out of the saber every game and even then they don't seem to register well ruding the game to wild-swinging game settled by luck. And with two children this can be dangerous! (Swinging the sabers is still fun, even if they don't work for the games, which is why I gave this a 3 for fun.)
Also, the plastic that straps it on to the Wiimote is really cheap. The Wiimote sets into the bottom of the saber, then the top part folds down on top (like the cockpit of a jet closing), with two slide locks on each side. The problem is that the slide locks are extremely fragile and wont hold the Wiimote in during wild battles. So to resolve this we had to constantly hold the silver part of the sabers instead of the more natural Wiimote. (I'm thinking of adding some kind of strap.)
Bottom line - these accessories like a lot of Wii accessories bummed us out. We ended up taking them off and playing without. For kids to play without swords should give you your answer on whether or not you want to buy this.

Star Wars - Episode I - Racer Bundle Review

(More customer reviews)As we know the N64 is a system that is past its prime and aging quickly into the abyss of "retro" status. So why should anyone who does not already have the system purchase one.
1.) Because of its age the price is coming down. ... If you don't believe me, then try the mysimon.com search engine for yourself. That makes this system very affordable now.
2.) Game are the only reason for really owning a console system, so if there are very many AAA titles available that makes the system worth owning. Games like Super Mario 64, Zelda Ocarina of Time, Zelda Major's Mask, Mario Kart 64, Donkey Kong 64, WaveRace 64, StarFox 64, GoldenEye, Perfect Dark, make the N64 worth owning. If you cannot find at least two games that you like in the above list, you might as well give up playing video games all-together. Two of my favorite CONSOLE games are Zelda Ocarina of Time and Super Mario 64, and in my humble opinion they are reason enough to have the system, but there are several others that I like too :)

Dual Glow Sabers Review

(More customer reviews)I got these light sabers for my small sons. They looked really cool and there were two in the package - a bargain? I have three problems with them:
1. The construction of this light saber does not completely mesh with the wii controller. Buttons are too easily activated - and we are talking buttons that you didn't want pressed! Frustration level can be high. Who wants to carefully use a light saber with the most controlled and lightest of touches when you are busy fighting the dark forces!
2. The craftsmanship is for the birds (but what these days aren't?) and after 2 weeks of usage by adults, it is cracking along the seams. Thankfully, I still have the receipt.
3. This is not a complaint against the light sabers but just a tip on their use. They work with Clone Wars and the like but no so much with the Lego, Complete Saga game. The original recipients of this item were my young kids but they were kind of useless for their G-Rated game. Although they LOVED to swing them around, it did not do much in the way of helping them in the game.
I am not sure about getting the higher priced ones since I hear they have problems too....

Star Wars Episode 1 Racer Review

I like to think that I know what's coming out when in the game world, and the sudden release of Pod Racer on the same day as Episode One made me a little wary. To be honest, Lucas Arts hasn't been the bread and butter in the game industry. Therefore, I was skeptical. Would this be a graphical tour de force or a shoddy port? Well...to be honest..it's a shoddy port. In an entire year for its development, Lucas Arts took a watered down PC version of Racer and slapped it onto a GD ROM. So now the big question is, should you buy it? Your decision to buy it should be based on your experience with this game. If you already own a version of it either on the N64 or the PC then you can look over this title and onto something a lot more tantalizing. However, like me, if you have never gotten your grubby mits on it, and you're a Star Wars fan to boot, then you should at least give it a rent. Let me go through the good stuff first. First of all the music is fantastic. Its tracks taken directly off of the Star Wars Episode One Soundtrack. The sense of speed in this game is amazing, causing motion sickness all around. Pay no attention to the back of the box. One of my friends was going 700mph at one time! The races start off easliy and get extremely competitive, and each time you initially take first place in a race you unlock a pod. The multiplayer is also smooth and very entertaining. With roughly 20+pods and 21 tracks to choose from, this will keep you busy for awhile. Ok, now for the bad. First of all, this is one of the ugliest games ever seen on the DC. I'm sure even a PC could have better graphical displays for this game. Lucas Arts did very little to even use the tiniest fraction of the DC's capabilities, which made me cry after seeing Sega's arcade version of Pod Racer (which runs off the Naomi board and is absolutely gorgeous). The framerate is at 30fps. First of all, that's unacceptable. Every DC racing game, especially this one, should run at 60fps. A game that advertises speed as one of its main seller should be flying when you fire it up, and we all know what the DC is capable of (we've seen Code Veronica, Sonic, and Soul Calibur). Shame on Lucas Arts for not beefing this bad boy up using the DC's power. They are truly messing up royally, especially since their last great Star Wars hit seemed to be Jedi Knight a few years ago. If I were George Lucas I wouldn't let graphical crap like this out of the door. This is actually a step back in visuals for the DC. It hovers in the "good enough" category. For my DC, that's unacceptable. Whew! So after all of that, am I going to keep this game? Hell Yeah! Hey, asside from its graphical flaws, I realized that it was good enough, and frankly the game's fun to play. I recommend it to anyone who likes racers, star wars, or is searching for a new experience. However, I seriously recommend that we write Sega and beg them for not only a version of THEIR PODRACER, but STAR WARS ARCADE as well. Lucas Arts has shown me that they can't handle the Star Wars License anymore. Lets leave it to a company that knows how to make great video games.

Official Nintendo and Star Wars Wii Clone Trooper Blaster Review

(More customer reviews)This just isn't a good option if you're looking for a gun to use with your Wii.
Here's what I don't like about it:
-In order to fit properly into the gun barrel, the Wii controller must be in a silicon protector. That wouldn't seem like much of an issue, but it has to be a silicon protector WITHOUT the MotionPlus add-on. NOTE: If the only silicon protector you have is the one that comes with the MotionPlus controller it will not fit. I removed the MotionPlus from the silicon sleeve but the protector is still too big and won't allow the door that covers the extra cord to close properly.
-To be fair, you have the option to order a free silicon protector. I decided to return my blaster and don't know how long it would take to get one shipped.
-There's not enough room provided around the joystick. It's a tight fit and your thumb feels restricted.
-The trigger sits pretty low in the space provided. It's not blocked, but your trigger finger slides along the trigger guard. I suppose that could be a plus for some.
-Overall, the Blaster feels too long. The cramped space around the joystick and trigger guard may not be an issue for a child, but as an adult I felt like I was stretching a good distance if I wanted to access the buttons on the controller and nunchuck. My guess is an average child would have to strain further than they would like to.
On the plus side:
-At $15 it's one of the least expensive options out there.
-The Blaster comes with a big sheet of stickers that most young Star Wars fans are sure to enjoy!
